Saturday 6th September 9am-1pm

Bob Meecham – Acrylics – moving into abstract OR Collage & other textures – Harbour scenes

Bob Meecham studied art at West Surrey College of Art and North East London Polytechnic. He worked in the East End with deprived children building adventure playgrounds for the Greater London Council. Bob has lived and worked in Israel and travelled widely in Europe and Indonesia. He has taught painting and ceramics in Adult Education, working with young offenders. Much of Bob’s work reflects the idea that places; landscapes, buildings and objects bear witness to, and reveal the collective memories of human stories. There is a spirit of place that can be captured and drawn out in the practise of drawing and painting, both in situ and in longer contemplation through sketchbook diaries.
